I painted him on a layer of newspapers, because he is topical. The inspiration for this portrait is sad but reality. Since we know, in 2019, more than 100 walruses fall from metered-high cliffs due global warming.
I thought it was heartbreaking to see dozens of walruses crashing down from high cliffs. They are forced to scramble further on land, now that they can barely find enough ice to rest.

who lived in Tsavo National Park in kenya. He was thought to have been born during the late 60s.
He was estimated to be one of the most giant elephants in the world at the time of his
death and has been described as one of kenya’s most iconic and well-known tuskers.

Motherland is the earth, the mother is strong, pushing her calf forward towards the world. Teach him, keep him from fear. Love and let go teach him what she once learned from her mother; to discover the unknown for yourself. But in this uncertain future today, we have to file early before we can discover.
